Greetings aviators. If you’re in Oshkosh for EAA AirVenture 2026, I hope you’re having a great time! If you’re standing in the back corner of Hangar A looking for our booth, look no further. We decided to take a year off. The booth we had last year is now in the hands of the AvBrief team, who are great folks. If you don’t subscribe to their newsletters and regularly peruse their site, you should. Their Experimental Aviator section is top-notch.
So why is Falken taking a year off? Well, two reasons:
- My wife has always wanted to go on an Alaskan Cruise, an activity much better done in summer than winter. I’ve spent the last 10 summers (COVID summer doesn’t count) getting ready for, driving to, exhibiting at, and driving home from Oshkosh. I was ready for a break and she was ready to see bears and whales. So instead of spending every minute from early June until the end of the show working, I took 10 days and enjoyed myself.
- I’m saving my pennies for FlightBox V3. Oshkosh isn’t cheap to put on, and this year I figured I would be better off investing in boards, enclosures, packaging, etc. Not nearly as much fun, but I think everyone who’s pre-ordered a V3 will appreciate it.
So in short – Falken and I are alive and well and now back from Alaska and enjoying the heat and humidity of an Austin summer. Please spread the word and let everyone know I’ll be back for 2027. I truly miss seeing everyone, and hope this year’s show is the best yet!
