BusBox is a complete power distribution system for a light aircraft. It packs 30 circuits into a 7″ x 4″ (17.7cm x 10cm) package that can be mounted virtually anywhere. The first 15 circuits are the “main bus” and power on when the master contactor is closed. The next 15 circuits are the “avionics bus” and power on when the Avionics Master switch is activated. All circuits are terminated using industrial lever terminals (aka “lever nuts”).
BusBox can handle 30 amps of constant current, with each circuit supporting up to 10 amps. Circuit protection is provided using inexpensive, reliable ATC automotive fuses.
